Bully Assure wanted to bring ABKC to South Africa because we believe that the connection to where it started is important. We are proud of our own heritage, the start of the American Bullies in Southern Africa, but we knew it was going to be next level to bring ABKC to South Africa. To get the people who started this global phenomenon, right on our door step, in touching distance.
Keeping It Real
The choice was simple, get an ABKC judge in to do a show, or bring ABKC to South Africa to build a legacy. There is a significant difference, and it’s telling. That is why the choice was so simple. The real value does not come from whether someone can host an ABKC show, that’s happening all over the world today. The value comes from building something that has great benefit for the breed and the community over the long-term. To achieve that, we needed to get ABKC here (not just a judge).
The Start Is The Hardest
To start this journey a show is needed, to connect our community with the ABKC breed ethos, and those who envisaged it. There are no tricks or gimmicks here, no false promises or drama. Just the vision to make an important connection, to start a fire in the belly of our great community. To move to higher standard, and greater collective vision. But, we recognized there was a huge initial financial cost to achieve this . This is the reason we started to advertise the show 6 months ago, to allow the community to prepare for this very important and unique event.
