We are proud to welcome you to the Bully Assure blog, South Africa’s first and premier registry for the American Bully! We are thrilled to share our passion for this incredible breed, connect with our vibrant community and share our journey. As we kick things off, let’s take a moment to reflect on where it all began and why we’re so dedicated to the American Bully.

The Founders of American Bully Federation of Southern Africa (ABFSA), Ronel and Steven Rogers, were the pioneers who saw something special in the American Bullies back in 2011. Later that year they brought in two amazing specimens, high quality, ABKC certified namely Brana (SIRE) and Lil (BITCH). This is where it all began 14 years ago.

More than 14 years ago, American Bullies landed in South Africa

Bully Assure’s president, Jenny Minné was part of ABFSA since 2015 and was later given the responsibility of managing ABFSA until the founding of Bully Assure and the acquisition of ABFSA by Bully Assure in 2020. The launch of Bully Assure in 2020 was to combine the registry (ABFSA) and to execute the mission to develop this beloved breed.

The American Bully isn’t just a dog – it’s a lifestyle, a bond and a legacy we’re proud to nurture. We’re excited to share stories from our community, tips for new and seasoned breeders, insights into the American Bully’s unique qualities, and highlights from our events. We’ve also launched a YouTube channel, with our first episode featuring the original breeders who started it all—stay tuned for that! As we grow, Bully Assure remains committed to our core values: family, quality and passion. Whether you’re a breeder, an owner, or just curious about the American Bully, we invite you to join us on this journey.
